A town of history and tradition

There is a dreamlike sound in the word "Kamakura". The city is historically known to have once been the base of the first military government the Kamakura shogunate, and afterwards flourished as a town adjacent to major roads. In the Meiji, Taisho and Showa era, Kamakura had developed its own society among the celebrity residents from the political, business and art worlds.
