Joint work of a renowned sports car and art

Established in 1914, Aston Martin is England's luxury sports car manufacturer. The company had opened a showroom in Beijing this year, and as a part of the project "Aston Martin Meets Art", they held an exhibition of works by a Chinese artist, Qin Yufen. The artwork titled "Beijing 008" using "V8 Vantage" depicts an overlap of Aston Martin and Beijing, speeding into the future with its history. The car is displayed on top of a carpet of Beijing's street map, and an art image of the person thought to be the British theoretical physicist, Stephen Hawking is hanged from above. "Disorder increases with time because we measure time in the direction in which disorder increases." Stephen Hawking's words are written inside the dome where the car is headed. The profoundness may connect with the company concept in which they have only produced a limited number of 20,000 performance GT cars in their 94 years of history.
